PHILIPP SCHUSTER

Agency Management & Marketing Partnerships Direct0r, Bayer Consumer Health

Philipp Schuster is part of the Global Strategic Marketing team at Bayer Consumer Health and is responsible within his remit for the strategic agencies and holding companies as well as non-agency partners. Non-agency partners include tech companies incl. Google, Meta & TikTok, marketing federations (e.g. WFA or ANA), event/network and award organizers like Cannes Lions, Effies Worldwide or Brand Innovators as well as a range of others including Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Digital Health start-ups.

His focus is to set the most strategic and most important external partnerships to the next level and enhance inter-partner collaboration between all those players to improve the quality, impact and effectiveness of the work which is created and produced for Bayer Consumer Health and across the organization.

His ambition is for Bayer to become a ‘client of choice’ for Bayer’s partners to unlock the full potential of the relationship with the ambition to achieve maximum impact for both parties. In previous roles at Bayer he was part of the Global Marketing Procurement team working across all divisions and led the category covering creative and digital agencies with a more singular focus on synergy, efficiency and consistency as well as in similar capacities at the adidas Group focusing on Creative Agencies and production partners, based at in Herzogenaurach, Germany.

He started his career in retail and marketing at PUMA both in Herzogenaurach, Germany and in Boston, United States. For his work on the PUMA Charity Tram during the FIFA World Cup 2006 he was nominated for a yellow pencil at the D&AD Awards. He was awarded with the European Sponsorship Award for the best international sponsorship campaign around PUMAs entry in the Volvo Ocean Race 2008-2009, PUMA Ocean Racing.

He also spent time agency-side at LIGANOVA in Stuttgart, Germany managing international key accounts like Tommy Hilfiger, Rockport and FREITAG. Philipp has been on the Advisory Board for ProcureCon Marketing Europe since 2017 and has been an Effie judge since 2022.

He is based in Greater London, United Kingdom, passionate about sports and travel and enjoys life in the English countryside with his wife Francesca and his two children Penelope and Jack.
