JOHN KIRK

Deputy CEO & Chief Strategy Officer, Inspired Thinking Group

John has spent over 12 years deeply immersed in the arena of technology-led marketing and content operations, having delivered over 150 technology implementations for major retail and brand customers, across all sectors, globally.

Most recently, John was ITG’s programme director and technology lead supporting GSK’s Consumer Healthcare (now Haleon) digital and marcomm transformation, ‘Streamline’ – Winner of the Gartner Communications Award 2022 for ‘Excellence in MarComm Technology’. John also leads on ITG’s industry relationships with Gartner and Forrester spanning the fields of DAM, PIM, MAM, CMP, MWM, MRM, CWM, MMH, Creative Advertising, Dynamic Media (DCO/DPO), MDM, DRM and DXP, including the application of AI across the marketing and content operations landscape.

John’s focus (and personal passion) is working with clients and industry analysts on directing and driving marketing ecosystem maturity, to deliver tangible user and enterprise value and high levels of technology adoption, with a no-nonsense, people-centric, tech-focussed, straight-talking approach.

Additionally, John spent many years with Alliance Manchester Business School, travelling worldwide to deliver workshops on Strategic Management on the Global MBA programme – training hundreds of senior managers, directors and C-suite executives from many leading global consultancies and enterprises. This experience has provided John with the privileged position to observe, understand and critique thousands of corporate, business and functional level strategies across all industries – with a deep insight into what works, and more importantly, what doesn’t, when delivering digital transformation.

As Deputy CEO at Inspired Thinking Group, his mission is to revolutionise the way enterprises do marketing and to ultimately liberate marketers.
