Nick Swimer is a partner at leading media and entertainment boutique law firm Lee & Thompson LLP and is widely regarded as one of a small number of advertising lawyers specialising at the highest level in media planning and buying.

A former Head of Legal for Advertising Trading at Channel 4, Nick brings both in-house and private practice experience to advising some of the world’s largest brands on their media buying arrangements. For 15 years as a partner, he has helped advertisers protect their media spend from waste, non-disclosed benefits and conflicts of interest, particularly within complex programmatic and ad tech ecosystems.

Nick is recognised as a thought leader in the sector. He has authored numerous articles on media transparency, ad fraud and global templates.  He was one of the authors of the latest ANA media buying template agreement and worked on the ANA’s 2023 Programmatic Media Supply Chain Transparency study. Legal 500 describes him as someone who “really gets the world of media sales and ad tech” and notes that he is “hugely respected and recognised as a thought leader and industry expert” across the advertising industry
